Information we collect

• Email address and ZIP code (or city) when you join the early-access list or unlock the guide.
• Pet profile details such as pet name, breed, size, energy, play style and optional photo, if you created an early pet profile on an earlier version of the site.
• Contact details you chose to share, such as Instagram handle or phone number, if you asked Mialo to contact you about a match or service request on an earlier version of the site.
• Survey answers and guide interactions that help us understand interest in Mialo by neighborhood.
• UTM parameters, referring page and basic technical signals used for attribution, security and spam prevention.

Information we do not collect

• We do not ask for payment information from pet parents on this website.
• We do not collect precise GPS location. We use the ZIP code or neighborhood information you provide.
• We do not sell or rent your personal information.
• We do not use advertising cookies or third-party ad trackers.

How we use information

• To send your early-access invitation, beta updates and launch news for the Mialo app. You can stop these emails at any time by writing to hello@mialo.us.
• To unlock and improve the Mialo guide.
• To understand which South Florida neighborhoods to launch Mialo in first.
• To contact you about a match or service request only when you ask us to do so.
• To prevent spam, abuse and automated submissions.

Contact consent

When you submit a match or service request, Mialo asks for explicit permission to contact you by WhatsApp, text or DM about that request. You can withdraw that permission at any time by replying STOP or by emailing hello@mialo.us.

Sharing

• If you ask for a service connection, we may share the minimum useful details with a local independent provider so they can respond to the request.
• We use service providers to run the site (listed below). They handle information only to provide their service to us.
• We may disclose information if required by law or to protect Mialo, users or the public from fraud, abuse or safety issues.

Service providers we use

• Amazon Web Services (AWS) hosts the website, stores early-access sign-ups and delivers our emails.
• Cloudflare Turnstile checks the sign-up form for bots. To do that, Cloudflare processes technical information from your browser, such as your IP address and browser signals, under its own privacy policy.

Cookies and browser storage

Mialo does not set cookies on this website. To work as expected, the site keeps a few small values in your browser’s local storage, which you can clear at any time in your browser settings:

• your language choice (English or Spanish);
• after you join, a session identifier and your personal invite code, so the site can show your invite link;
• the source or invite code in the link you arrived from, until you join (it is removed then).

Do Not Track

Some browsers send a “Do Not Track” signal. Because Mialo does not track you across other websites and does not use advertising cookies, the site does not change its behavior when it receives that signal.

Retention

We keep information for as long as needed to operate the early Mialo experience, respond to your request, prevent abuse and comply with legal obligations. If you ask us to delete your information, we will remove it from active systems within a reasonable time unless we need to keep a limited record for legal, security or consent-withdrawal reasons.

Your choices

You can ask to access, correct or delete your information by emailing hello@mialo.us from the email address you used with Mialo.

Children

Mialo is intended for people 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Security

We use HTTPS and keep the website intentionally minimal so we collect only what we need. No system is perfect, but reducing unnecessary data is part of the design.
